However, this seal also increases the likelihood of mold growing inside the drum of front-loading washers, which is typically still moist when sealed.
This is why you should often leave the washer door open. Open the door to the washing room if it is not currently in use to let air in. Reduce the time that moisture is trapped inside the washer drum, even if damp items are waiting for their turn in the dryer.
Use HE Detergents only.
