Benefits for customers

Applince Bay Repairs is proud of the fact that it provides remarkable repair services to customers; some of the benefits are given below, which will further reiterate that.

We Get It Done The Right Way

In addition to identifying the true cause of the issue, our experts will fix it so that it won’t cause problems with your dryer again soon. Too frequently, you fix a symptom of the true course after concluding that you have located the cause, forcing you to repeat the procedure as soon as it fails. On the other hand, our technicians will do it correctly the first time.

Saves Time

Dryers are fantastic time savers, especially when you’re pressed for time and require a certain article of clothing. The time-saving benefit is lost when a dryer isn’t operating properly because it can extend the drying time. Nothing beats the sensation of donning clothing that has just come out of the dryer! A functioning dryer ensures that the feeling arrives sooner rather than later! So call us when your dryer does not work properly, and we’ll repair it for you!

Helps Save Money

Dryers are expensive appliances, so replacing them becomes a huge cost. Getting a professional repair service from us will help you save money because it is fairly cheaper!

Problems

Dryers are complicated to use, and their problems are even more complex. We have discussed some of the common problems people face with dryers below; if you have faced any of these problems, contact us!

Broken Heating Element

The heating element in electric dryers is in charge of warming the airflow inside the drum. Your clothing, linen, and other materials are afterward dried. The heating element can malfunction over time and after prolonged use. If this occurs, your dryer might not heat up sufficiently to dry the items. As an alternative, the heating element could overheat and provide a safety risk.

Blown Thermal Fuse

A small safety device, a thermal fuse, is often located in the back cover panel, within or on top of the exhaust duct. In essence, it is made to stop flames. The fuse will trip as soon as the dryer starts to overheat and reaches a specified temperature. However, this method may prevent the dryer from operating correctly. For instance, it might not provide enough heat to dry the clothing, so it will still be wet or mostly moist even after drying.

Defective Cycling Thermostat

The cycling thermometer is in charge of controlling the dryer’s internal temperature. The heating element is often turned on and off to maintain desired temperatures. Once damaged, the thermostat will no longer be able to maintain an even temperature or sense the temperature reliably. The dryer can overheat or not turn off when it should.

Faulty High-Limit Thermostat

Two different dryer thermostat types are frequently found in contemporary dryers: cycle thermostats and high-limit thermostats. When the dryer overheats, the rising thermostat is intended to monitor the temperature and turn off the heating element. If it has collapsed, the element can continue operating for far too long or produce unsafe heat levels.

Blocked Ducts

There are two types of dryers: vented and ventless. As you might have imagined, a vented device needs a venting duct installed.

In essence, the ducting system operates by expelling the heated air outside. Therefore, if the dryer’s ducts are blocked, heated air will become trapped inside them and overheat. Additionally, you might discover that your garments feel warm to the touch after the drying cycle or dry too slowly. Additionally, the dryer may even give off a burning scent. In the worst instance, it might potentially cause a fire.

Off on the diagnostic bill

We offer different kinds of discounts on our services. If you request diagnostic services for 2 or more units of appliances, then you will get 50% off on the entire bill! If you have requested repair service, then you will get free diagnostic services! So what are you waiting for? Please book an appointment and get repair services from us now!

Useful maintenance tips

Maintenance recommendation

Below are some tips for ensuring that your dryers work properly for a long time.

  1. The lint screen should be cleared before or after each load: Your dryer’s screen should be removed with care, cleaned with an old fabric conditioner sheet, and the lint removed.
  2. Clear the area around the lint screen: A dryer dust brush should be used to clean the lint screen’s housing cavity after removing it. You can also utilise the vacuum cleaner’s crevice attachment for this job.
  3. Wipe the inside of your dryer: It’s recommended to clean the inside once a month, regardless of whether there are no spots or residue within. Unplug the device before cleaning the drum with a microfiber cloth dampened with rubbing alcohol or a rag soaked in warm, soapy water.
  4. Clean the area behind and under the dryer: Lint, filth, and moisture can quickly build up. Every three months, clean the area around the dryer.
  5. Your dryer’s balance should be checked: Your rotating parts will wear out more quickly if it is not level. If the dryer moves or vibrates, adjust the tires or feet at the bottom of the appliance.
  6. Examine and maintain the vent system: If you detect a drop in dryer performance, hire experts to clean the ducts and vent. If you have a large family or pets, this could be required twice a year. If necessary, upgrade the vent hose.
  7. Check the exhaust system outside: Although it should, debris occasionally prevents air from passing through the vent.
  8. Don’t stuff too many things in the dryer.
